Katie Beth Hand and Chris Pacheco aren’t taking any insulin via injections or pump anymore. They are insulin “independent” thanks to participating in Eledon’s clinical trial using tegoprubart — a targeted immunotherapy to specifically protect transplanted human islet cells. And it’s working, clearly.

There are 12 participants in this clinical trial. Ten out of 12 are no longer managing daily insulin therapy, and the remaining two are expected to wean fully off insulin in the coming weeks, according to the latest post from Dr. Piotr Witkowski.

Learn more about Eledon’s clinical trial in this podcast interviews with Katie and Chris.
