On June 10, 2025, Tandem Diabetes Care and Abbott announced they are partnering to build a system that combines the tSlim automated insulin delivery system with a continuous sensor that measures both glucose and ketones.
Ketones can develop quickly and easily in people with type 1 diabetes using an insulin pump — particularly when insulin delivery fails due to infusion site or cannula issues.
At this time, Abbott’s dual glucose/ketone sensor is still in development.
